Hypothetical example: A child is asked to record an inspirational response after losing. The parent supports an honest decline and leaves a later private coaching question separate from any public story.

01Notice when the adult’s desired story arrives first

Identify what the requester is asking the child to claim.

02Separate what happened from the meaning still being worked out

Separate verified facts from meaning the child has not claimed.

03Give the child a courteous way to decline

Choose an honest response or a supported decline.
